Dr. Frank Emert

Frank L. Emert, Jr., M.D.

As founder and medical director of Wabash Valley Eye Center, Ophthalmologist Frank L. Emert, Jr., M.D. received his medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in 1971. He then completed his internship at Akron City Hospital in Akron, Ohio, and his residency at the University of Missouri Medical Center. In 1976, he completed a fellowship at Mary Shiels Eye Hospital in Dallas, TX, specializing in cataract and implant surgery. A board certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Emert has been in private practice since 1978. He founded Emert Eyecare Center in 1982 then, in 1991 established Wabash Valley Eye Center.

Dr. Cheryl McCormick

Cheryl A. McCormick, O.D.

Optometrist Cheryl A. McCormick, O.D., is a Knox County native. After graduating from South Knox High School as valedictorian of the 1971 class, she earned an associate’s degree with honors from Vincennes University in 1973. From there, she received her Doctor of Optometry, where she was awarded the Phi Beta Kappa honors. Dr. McCormick began her career as an associate of Dr. Ron Hawkins in Washington, IN, and then established a private practice in Vincennes in 1981. In 1996, Dr. McCormick joined Dr. Emert at Wabash Valley Eye Center, where she sees patients in both Vincennes and Washington.

Dr. Stephanie Day-Keller

Stephanie Day-Keller, O.D.

A Knox County native, Optometrist Stephanie L. Day-Keller, O.D., graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 1995. She completed internships at Wabash Eye Center as well as at Atwater Eyecare Center in Bloomington, IN, Indianapolis Eyecare Center and Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS. Dr. Day-Keller has been in practice in Vincennes since 1995, and is a member of the American Optometric Association, Indiana Regional Optometric Association and the Southwest Indiana Regional Optometric Association. Dr. Day-Keller and her husband, Joe, have two children.

Dr. Clint Shoultz

Clint R. Shoultz, O.D.

A Pike County native, Optometrist Clint R. Shoultz received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Purdue University in 1993. A licensed teacher, he taught and coached at Rochester High School in Rochester, IN for four years. From there, he returned to his formal education at the Indiana University School of Optometry, receiving his Doctorate of Optometry in 2001. He joined Wabash Valley Eye Center in 2002, caring for patients in our Petersburg and Washington locations. Dr. Shoultz is married to Holly and in his spare time, enjoys hunting, working outdoors, sporting events and spending time with his family.
